With
a shared language, it is possible to build bridges of cultural
understanding, community, and friendship. - Stephen Rhodes |
Welcome
Our Mission:
We promote and support the teaching of English to adult
immigrants in Northern Virginia and welcome their active
participation in our community.
Our Vision:
We want our English-learning neighbors to reach their full
potential in our community and we strive to assist their
efforts by coordinating quality English instruction throughout
Northern Virginia. Our ministry consists of trained volunteers
and an effective curriculum, and takes place in sites convenient
and welcoming to all.
We want to continue to merit the support of the area’s
United Methodist Church, which has enabled our success since
inception, and other faith-based community organizations,
and the community as a whole.

Students:
English classes are offered
September to June. Registration
is held at our locations
at the beginning of each semester.
